Howdy! I’m Annie.

Born in Moab and raised to wander, I spent most of my childhood moving every year or so throughout the southwest.

I went through college as a pre-med student, formally studying a bizarre mix of biochemistry, human behavior and art before I graduated from Arizone State in 2005 with a BA, and hit the open road.

My inspiration is everywhere - growth patterns, mutations of patterns, medicinal plants, petroglyphs and pictographs, & mineral structures and patterns. I do a lot of layering in my sketchbook, and then try to bring it to life with chemistry and mud.

These days, my biggest inspiration comes from being a mother and getting to relive the world through eyes that can see magic everywhere. It is teaching me to slow my roll, and savor the little things. This has seeped its way into the way I approach what I make.

Each detail included in my work is an invitation to cultivate a more attuned connection to nature and our bodies, taking time to listen to what it needs to be nourished. I offer these as tools to carve the time and space to elevate your own daily rituals with intention.

I strive to strike a balance between form and function, with offerings that are uniquely suited to the land that shaped me. Each piece I make is one-of-a-kind. Occasionally, I’ll do special orders.

My ceramic art is fired to cone 6 in oxidation, and glazed with lead free glazes that are food, microwave, dishwasher and oven safe.

I think everything in life is art. What you do. How you dress. The way you love someone, and how you talk. Your smile and your personality. What you believe in, and all your dreams. The way you drink your tea. How you decorate your home. Or party. Your grocery list. The food you make. How your writing looks. And the way you feel. Life is art.”

Helena Bonham Carter

I’ve got to acknowledge the centuries of indigenous peoples who passed through these lands well before the pioneers and miners that made me.

The rich history written on the rocks, the imprints of hands and heart stories - this was all in place before the settlers arrived.

My hope is that we can all learn to hold space for the stories and traditions that have been passed down, even if they aren’t ours.
